5 Ingredient Yeti Poop makes you forget the mountain climbs—this abominable snowman snack worthy of legendary status. With just five simple ingredients, this frosty, sweet treat will have everyone reaching for seconds (or thirds). Believe it or not, even my 75-year-old Mom loves this snack!
Whether you’re hosting a winter party or gifting it to someone special, it’s festive, easy, and absolutely irresistible.
And yes, just like all the other fun “poop” snacks we’ve created (Snowman Poop, Penguin Poop, Grinch Poop), this one also has a super cute label to add to bags for gifting!
What You’ll Need to Make Yeti Poop
Here’s the lineup of simple, frosty ingredients you’ll need to whip up this abominably good snack:
- Chex Honey Nut Cereal: Crunchy, sweet, and the perfect base for this treat. Substitute idea: Rice Chex, Corn Chex or sweet and salty popcorn works too!
- White Candy Melts: This is the glue that holds it all together—snow-like and sweet. Substitute idea: white chocolate chips or quality white chocolate bars.
- Mini Marshmallows: Because Yeti have that super squishy cutie look about them, right? Substitute idea: Fruit-colored mini marshmallows or large marshmallows cut into pieces.
- Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar): For that powdery, snowy finish.
- Tiny Blue Candies: These are the frosty gems of the mix. Think mini M&Ms, candy pearls, blue jelly beans, or any small blue candy you love.
- Shredded Coconut (Optional): Adds extra snowy vibes and texture!
Whipping Up Yeti Poop
This recipe is crazy easy to put together. I’ll bet it takes you less than 15 minutes when you have all the ingredients gathered and ready to go.
- PREP STEP: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grab a large mixing bowl.
- STEP ONE: Combine the Base: Toss the Chex cereal and mini marshmallows into the mixing bowl.
- STEP TWO: Melt the Magic: Microwave the candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each zap until smooth. (Don’t overdo it—melted candy melts can scorch faster than you’d think.)
- STEP THREE: Mix It Up: Drizzle the melted candy over the cereal and marshmallow mixture. Gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
- STEP FOUR: Powder It Snowy: Sprinkle the powdered sugar and blue candies into the mix, folding gently to distribute. If you’re using coconut, toss it in now, too.
- STEP FIVE: Chill & Dry: Spread the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet, letting it dry and set completely before breaking it into chunks.
Storage Suggestions
- For Longer Storage: Pop it in the fridge in a tightly sealed container for up to 2 weeks—but let’s be real, it won’t last that long!
- Pro Tip: Freezing isn’t ideal for this recipe since the candy melts and powdered sugar can absorb moisture, turning your frosty snack into a sticky mess.

5 Ingredient Yeti Poop
Yeti Poop is a frosty, fun, and addictive winter treat! Perfect for holiday parties, gifting, or snacking, this sweet and crunchy mix is always a crowd favorite. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy!
Ingredients
- 4 cups chex honey nut cereal (see post for alternatives)
- 2 c white candy melts
- 1 cup mini marshallows (see post for alternatives)
- 1 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- ½ c tiny blue candies
- ½ cup shredded coconut. (Optional)
Notes
Be careful not to melt the chocolate too quickly and get it too hot. It can easily scorch and burn.
Also, you don't want it so hot that it might melt the chocolate-covered candy if you're using that sort of add-in.
