These goofy, sweet-and-crunchy Frankenstein Farts are what happens when a mad scientist lets one rip in the lab. Haha, just kidding! If you’ve ever wondered what Frankenstein snacks on between lightning strikes… well, now we know.
It’s the Halloween cousin of my Christmassy 4-Ingredient Snowman Poop same spirit, just with more neon goo and monster energy.
It’s absolutely perfect for Halloween parties, treat bags, or when you just want a laugh with your sugar fix.
Oh, and there’s a free printable label to staple to a sandwich baggie so you can bag these babies up and make the kids lose it giggling.

Why You’ll Love This Dumb-Good Snack
- 👻 Ridiculously easy: Only a handful of ingredients and zero baking.
- 💚 Kids love it: The name alone gets giggles.
- 🧟 Customizable: Mix in any Halloween candy you’ve got.
- 🎃 Party-ready: The printable label adds even more fun to the snack.
🧪 Ingredients You’ll Need (and Why)
✅ 5 cups Corn Pops: Corn Pops are what I used in Canada, but use Kix if you’re in the U.S. (same cereal, different name)
✅ 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts: The sweet monster glue
✅ 1 tablespoon coconut oil: Keeps the chocolate smooth so it coats evenly instead of seizing.
✅ Food coloring: I used 5 drops of blue and 3 drops of red, but feel free to experiment with your preferred color.
✅ Halloween candy mix: I used green/purple gummies, Purple/green/black sprinkles, but candy eyeballs, orange pumpkins, would be super fun!
Important Things to Know Before You Start
Melting the chocolate is one of the first things you do with this recipe. It’s important to make sure the coconut oil is mixed in and the whole mixture is smooth. Trying to add the coconut oil to the chocolate after it’s melted gives it too much time to start cooling down, and then it gets all thick and hard to mix in.
So don’t skip on melting them together… You want it smooth and pourable before the cereal shows up to the party.
⚡ How to Make Frankenstein Farts (Without Burning Down the Lab)

- Melt & Color: Melt the white chocolate and coconut oil in short bursts, then add the food coloring until you hit the perfect color you want.
- Add Cereal in Batches: Start to cover the cereal in chocolate. Start with half the chocolate, mix, then add the rest.
- Candy Mix: Dump in your Halloween candies and sprinkles while the chocolate is still somewhat soft. Basically, fold in the candy.
- Cool & Break: Spread it all on parchment to harden. Once set, break and bag it up.
- Label & Serve: Staple on the free printable “Frankenstein Farts” label and watch the giggles happen.

👁️ Add-In Ideas & Variations
- Gummy worms or snakes
- Candy eyeballs for extra creepiness
- Black licorice bits or mini bat candies
- Candy corn (if you must – I don’t judge… much. Honestly, I added it to my Pumpkin Poop recipe because it just goes so well with that recipe!).
🧊 Storage (How Long Frankenstein’s Farts Last)
Keep these babies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.
If your kitchen feels like a swamp, pop them in the fridge so the chocolate doesn’t melt into soft sadness.
They’ll technically freeze for 1–2 months, but come on …. are you really freezing candy?

Printable Label
To make these super cute, bundle up the farts into a sandwich bag and use this printable label to staple it to the top of the bag.

🧩 FAQs (Because Yes, People Ask Questions)
Q: My chocolate went all grainy and clumpy. What did I do?
A: You may have overheated it or skipped the coconut oil. Melt slowly and stir often. (Patience, Igor.)
Q: Can I use a different cereal?
A: Sure! Just keep it puffy so the chocolate clings (think Chex, or Honey Comb).
Q: Can I use butter instead of coconut oil?
A: You can, but it’ll dull the shine and make the coating thicker. The coconut oil is your smooth operator here. Do not use regular cooking oil.
Ok, so I know this is not haute cuisine. Just like my Pumpkin Puffs, these treats are goofy, colourful, and make people laugh. Which, quite frankly, the world needs more of.
So grab your bowl, your food colouring, and your inner eight-year-old sense of humour.
Because life’s too short not to snack on something called Frankenstein Farts.

Clearly, I’ve built an empire on snack-based bodily functions…. and I’m not mad about it.
Now go forth, my mad scientist friend, and let your kitchen rip with creativity. The kids will giggle. Adults will shake their heads. You’ll still eat most of it.
Frankenstein Farts Recipe

These Frankenstein Farts are hilarious no-bake Halloween cereal treats made with Corn Pops, white chocolate, and spooky candies. It's a perfect party snack kids will giggle over!
Ingredients
- 5 cups Corn Pops (or Kix cereal in the U.S.)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 5 drops blue food colouring + 3 drops red (adjust to preference)
- Approximately 1 cup assorted Halloween candy (purple/green gummies, sprinkles, etc)
- 3 tbsp Halloween sprinkles (purple/green/black/orange)
Instructions
- Melt white chocolate + coconut oil in microwave in 20-sec bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Add food colouring (5 drops blue + 3 drops red) until you reach your monster hue.
- Put the cereal in a large bowl. Pour half the chocolate mixture over it and stir to coat.
- Add the remaining chocolate. Stir until evenly coated.
- Add candy and sprinkles; stir gently.
- Spread on parchment-lined sheet to cool/harden (~30 min).
- Break into chunks, bag, label, serve.
Notes
I find that adding half the chocolate, folding, and then adding the rest of the chocolate helps with the distrubution. I like to have all the cereal pieces covered in the chocolate.
Once you start the chocolate on the cereal, work fast to add the candy as well. The chocolate, if still soft, will help with having the candy stick to the cereal.
