Well, hello there, my fellow foodies! đź‘‹ Welcome to EazyGrub! The fun, slightly cheeky kitchen where every recipe uses 6 ingredients or less.
Because honestly, who’s got the time, patience, or budget for fussy, 20-ingredient meals? Not us. Around here, it’s all about simple, wallet-friendly recipes that still pack big flavor.
EazyGrub is my happy place for playful, quirky, and kitschy recipes… the kind that make you say, “Wait… that only took three ingredients?!” We use clever “helper” ingredients such as canned soups, seasoning packets, and baking mixes to turn everyday staples into something tasty, filling, and stress-free.
Listen, there’s no shame in shortcuts – they’re here to make life easier, and I’m all about that.
But it’s not just about fast dinners for busy grown-ups. EazyGrub is also a kid-friendly kitchen playground. These recipes are simple enough for little hands to help with, sparking excitement about cooking and creating those memory-making moments around the table.
From silly snacks to easy family meals, it’s cooking without the pressure … just fun, food, and together time.
About Joanne
So who’s behind all this? That’d be me – Joanne Andrea. I’m a proud Canadian with Ukrainian and Dutch roots, which means food traditions run deep in my family. My Grandma Mary taught me how to make perogies, cabbage rolls, and nalysnyky, and my dad always kept our conversations sprinkled with Dutch food memories.
I live a single-gal life with my two “assistants” – Bayo and Dougie (my dogs, not my taste-testers, though they’d argue otherwise).
Cooking for my mom, who lives independently with Parkinson’s, is also a big part of my life. I focus on meals that are easy to reheat and enjoyable to eat, which ties back to my background as an Occupational Therapy Assistant focusing on mental health and geriatrics. Making daily life easier – through food – has always been at the heart of what I do.
Before blogging, my first career was photography. I shot everything from people to restaurants and chefs, and my work has been featured in print and online, including Avenue Magazine. Eventually, I combined my two loves – photography and food – and started my first blog, The Salty Pot, which now focuses on freezer meals for one (perfect for singles, seniors and busy parents with kids who always want something different on the same night) who want ready-to-heat comfort food. EazyGrub came later, when I realized I wanted a fun second space for easy, minimal-ingredient recipes that don’t take life (or cooking) too seriously.
