🌟Quick Ham Pot Pie Ingredient Highlights
- Refrigerated crescent rolls: I used Pillsbury, but any brand with about 8 crescents will do.
- Cooked Ham: I like to use leftover ham from a roasted ham I made earlier or I’ll use a ham steak that you can buy at the store.
- Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup: This will be our creamy base.
- Frozen Mixed Vegetables: Use what you have on hand and/or your favorites. Any vegetable medley works great but the classic is peas, carrots and beans.

Eazy Note: Ingredients like common seasonings, oil, water, etc, don’t factor into the ingredient count because most people have those pantry items in their kitchen.
📌Step-by-Step Directions
- Preheat the Oven – Get your oven ready while you prepare the filling.
- Make the Filling – Sauté the ham, add the veggies, and mix everything together into a creamy, savory base.
- Assemble – Transfer the filling to a casserole dish and top with torn crescent roll pieces for that crispy, golden crust.
- Bake – Pop it in the oven until the top is beautifully golden and baked through.
- Finishing Touch (Optional) – Brush with garlic butter for an extra hit of flavor.

🥄Recipe Variations
- Protein swaps: Leftover turkey or chicken works just as well. If you go this route, consider adding a pinch of salt since these meats are less salty than ham.
- Crust alternatives: If you have pie dough on hand, use it instead of crescent rolls for a more traditional pot pie crust. If you’re at all feelin’ adventurous, you can always make your own pie crust as well with this 3 Ingredient Pie Crust recipe by A Red Spatula.

⏳Make-Ahead Tip
Freeze a Ham Pot Pie: If you have some extra time and extra ingredients, I like to make enough for two pot pies.(Just like my 4 Ingredient Baked BBQ Meatballs). One to eat tonight, the other to put in the freezer for another day. Prepare the filling and place it in a freezer-friendly casserole dish. (or, you can use something like Souper Cubes!) Let it cool, then cover and refrigerate or freeze. When you’re ready to bake, thaw the filling if frozen, give it a good stir, top with fresh crescent roll pieces or pie dough, and bake!
The Day Ahead: It’s easy to put the ingredients together and store them in an airtight container in the fridge the day before you want to make this ham pie. Bring it out of the fridge about 20 minutes ahead of time to come to room temp and while the oven preheats, then top with the crescent dough and bake.

In case you’re wondering, this recipe is a simplified twist on my Flaky & Buttery Ham Pot Pie. By using condensed soup, we skip making a roux, saving time without sacrificing flavor.

30 Minute Easy Ham Pot Pie

4-ingredient ham pot pie dinner that’s ready in 30 minutes, hearty, easy to make, and super economical to make will make it onto your go-to recipe roster. It's delicious, made with easy-to-find ingredients, and comes together in a snap.
Ingredients
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls (8 count)
- 2 cups Ham, cooked, diced.
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 can (10 oz) Cream of Chicken soup (condensed)
- 1/3 cup water
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Optional: 1/4 cup diced onions, dried thyme, melted butter to brush on top of the pie after baking.
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375F (190C) and grease a 9-inch casserole dish. Set aside.
2. Prepare the filling: In a skillet, saute the ham until warmed through. (If you're adding diced onions, now is the time to add them. Saute them till translucent).
3. Add the frozen vegetables and condensed soup. Mix thoroughly and add the water. If you find the mixture is still very thick, then add another 1/4 cup of water to loosen the "gravy".
4. Season with pepper and garlic powder. If you have extra seasonings, add thyme, and onion powder.
5. Add the filling to the casserole dish.
6. Take the crescents and tear them into "craggy" pieces. No need to be careful, they can be different sizes and different shapes. Cover the top of the casserole filling with the dough.
7. Bake in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
8. Remove to let rest for 5 minutes. (OPTIONAL STEP) While resting, melt the butter and brush it over top of the crescent crust. Enjoy!
Notes
Variations for Proteins: Cooked turkey, chicken, or even pork.
Variations for Crusts: Use puff pastry, premade pie crust, or make a pie crust homemade.
*Please do not add extra salt if you're using ham and the condensed soup. There's plenty of salt in those two ingredients, I never feel that more should be added.
*If you find the crust starts to brown too quickly, just cover it with a piece of foil to finish cooking.
Serve this Ham Pot Pie with: Asparagus and Brussels sprouts, Green salad, Mashed potatoes, or Hot Honey Carrots.
Serve for Dessert: 3 Ingredient Lemon Tarts
