Just like my winter-favorite 4-Ingredient Snowman Poop, it’s silly, it’s crunchy, and kids absolutely go wild for it. Made with crunchy cereal, melted white chocolate, a splash of orange food coloring, and your favorite festive candy, this no-bake snack mix takes less than 10 minutes of effort.

It’s the ultimate creepy-cute treat for classroom Halloween parties, spooky movie nights, or leaving out in a bowl to watch your guests double-take before grabbing a handful.

  • ✅  Cups Corn Pops Cereal: The absolute perfect shape and crunchy texture for this recipe! Also called Kix in the USA, or you can use Captain Crunch cereal as well.
  • ✅ White Chocolate: Melting wafers or high-quality white chocolate chips work best to coat every single piece smoothly.
  • ✅  Coconut Oil: The secret ingredient that helps the white chocolate melt down silky smooth without seizing or clumping up.
  • ✅  Orange Food Coloring: Use gel food coloring if you can! Liquid coloring can sometimes make melted chocolate seize up, while gel gives you that vibrant, bright pumpkin orange color.
  • ✅  Halloween Candy Assortment: Candy corn, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, or green candy-coated chocolates for little “pumpkin stem” accents.

🎃 How to Make Pumpkin Poop

  1. Measure out your cereal into a large bowl so it’s ready for the sweet coating.
  2. Combine the white chocolate and coconut oil in a bowl and heat gently, stirring occasionally until completely silky and smooth.
  3. Add a few drops of orange food coloring to the melted chocolate until you reach a bright, festive pumpkin shade.
  4. Pour the vibrant orange chocolate over the cereal and fold gently until every piece is covered.
  5. Spread the coated mixture onto a lined baking tray, immediately scatter your Halloween candy and sprinkles over top while still sticky, and let it firm up before breaking into bite-sized clusters.

Helpful Tips & Festive Variations

  • Make sure your bowl and spatula are completely dry before melting the white chocolate. Even a single drop of water will cause the chocolate to seize up.
  • While Corn Pops have that perfect shape, you can also swap in Rice Chex or puffed corn for a slightly different crunch.
  • Pair this with other silly Halloween favorites! Toss a bowl of this next to some green Frankenstein Farts or a pile of festive 4-Ingredient Grinch Poop for a color-coded dessert table.
  • Scoop small portions into clear cellophane bags, tie them off with green ribbon, and label them “Pumpkin Poop” for the funniest trick-or-treat favors ever.

A hilarious, crunchy no-bake Halloween treat made with Corn Pops cereal, orange melted white chocolate, and a festive Halloween candy assortment!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Corn Pops cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or melting wafers)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Orange gel food coloring
  • 1 cup Halloween candy assortment (candy corn, sprinkles, mini M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the Corn Pops cereal to a large bowl and set aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each burst, until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Add orange gel food coloring to the melted chocolate and stir until a uniform pumpkin-orange shade is reached.
  5. Pour the orange chocolate over the Corn Pops and gently mix until all cereal is coated.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Immediately sprinkle your Halloween candy assortment over top while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes (or in the fridge for 10 minutes) until firm. Break into clusters and serve!

Notes

  • Pick out only the green candies (or green sprinkles) from your assortment and deliberately place them on top of the clustered cereal mounds right before setting. It gives each little orange "poop" cluster a tiny green pumpkin stem accent that looks intentionally styled!
  •  Place your parchment-lined tray into the freezer for exactly 5 minutes right after adding the toppings. Rapid chilling hardens the coconut-oil-infused white chocolate into an extra crisp shell that snaps cleanly into clusters without melting on fingertips as easily.
